NATIONAL GO CANOEING WEEK 2016

National Go Canoeing Week 2016; Join The Journey!

Go Canoeing Week is our annual celebration of all things canoeing from stand up paddle boarding to kayaking. The week provides opportunities for newcomers to enjoy being out on the water and for existing paddlers to get out and do more of what they love.

With the excitement of the Olympics taking place just around the corner we wanted to celebrate and get into the spirit of the games. So this year we’ll be setting off MacGregor, the British Canoeing mascot, on a virtual journey around the country carrying a British Canoeing flame. His journey will see him building his paddling skills before heading on to Rio and the Olympics!  We will be asking people to get out and paddle their miles in order to join MacGregor’s journey. As people paddle their miles MacGregor will move from place to place, improving his paddling talents as he goes. The week will celebrate all paddlers, from complete beginners to Olympic stars!

If you are a club, centre or organisation you can find out more on how you can get involved here.

We will soon have a dedicated site for National Go Canoeing Week so make sure you watch this space for updates on exciting opportunities to get involved in your area.

Every mile counts on MacGregor’s trip and we hope you will Join The Journey!
