Guided Tour Discount to Get People Paddling

To celebrate the launch of the new Go Canoeing website, paddlers are being offered the chance to discover exciting new places to canoe at a special discounted rate. The introductory discount of 25% will be available to the first 100 people to book onto one of our new Guided Tours before 31st July.
Go Canoeing Days have been running for a number of years, successfully helping introduce thousands of new participants to the sport. And the initiative has been such a hit with new paddlers, the scheme has received additional funding from Sport England to become even bigger and better.
While Go Canoeing previously focused on just beginners, the scheme has now been extended to help people with some canoeing experience to get out on the water more regularly. If you’re one of the many paddlers who haven’t gone canoeing for a while, don’t go as regularly as you’d like or would just like to become more involved in the sport, Go Canoeing is for you.
For those with some experience of canoeing, who are maybe stuck in a bit of a rut or need a little push to help broaden their horizons, one of the best ways to reinvigorate your passion for paddling is by taking part in one of Go Canoeing’s new Guided Tours. Taking place at 12 locations across the country, the tours are designed to help participants discover new places to paddle, meet like-minded people and to experience the social side of canoeing.
Whether you’re a budding birdwatcher, an amateur historian or even if you just fancy a paddle in a scenic new spot, the Guided Tours offer something for everyone. To help you make the most of the experience, informative Go Canoeing Tour Guides will be on hand to fill you in on all the local sights, history and wildlife.
Go Canoeing Development Officer Jenny Spencer said: "Variety is the spice of life and our Guided Tours give you the chance to get out on the water and explore a whole range of exciting new places. You could be taking in fascinating geological features and stunning scenery deep in the Great British countryside or paddling past clay pits and old wharfs in the country's industrial heartland.
"Some tours pass by iconic landmarks, like Liverpool's Albert Dock, while others offer the chance to see important archaeological and historical sites. And wherever you take part in a tour, paddling through Britain's waterways provides a great chance to get up close to some of the country's rich wildlife. Our tours have been designed to enrich your paddling experience and by offering this introductory discount, we're hoping to give as many people as possible the chance to spark their passion for paddling.
"Our new website will help you make the most of your time on the water and Go Canoeing, just like the sport itself, really does offer something for everyone. So, pay us a visit at and see where canoeing can take you."
